Hort 9909 is a developmental hop that has been bred from a cross of Hallertau Mittelfruh and Saaz with a wild German hop.
Brewing trials in lagers and pilsners have displayed a mixture of traditional noble hop character, with new world citrus and pine notes.
Hort 9909 shows pronounced forward citrus characters of lemon and lime, sweet hay and spices.
Will work well as a single hop, particularly because of its great bittering qualities.
